Edit Content Type

This tool is used to edit the viability of the various content types within the system.

1. Select the entry that you would like to edit by left clicking on it.
2. Click on the "Edit Content Type" Button

A form with the content types attributes will appear, make the required changes and click on save.

Overview

This module is used by administrators to set which media content types are viewable from with in the web browser.

If the content type is set to viewable the system will attempt to serve the content embedded within the web page.

Overview

The media encoder is used to transcode media on the system between various media formats. The media encoder is only available to valid media items.

1. Select which media you want to use as the source file for the encoding from the drop down list.
2. The encoder profile field will determine what the output will be ( see encoder profiles).

The "TC IN" and "TC OUT" fields are used to mark an in point and out point on the source for the new file to use.
If these fields are left blank the system will use the entire file. Once you have filled in the form click on the encode button and the encode is placed into the process cue.

Encoder Profiles View

The Encoder Profiles tab is used to create and manage media encoder profiles and their properties.

The grid displays the profiles name, a short description of the profile and if the profile is protected (editable or not).
Click on the plus icon in the row to unfold the detailed information on the profiles parameters.
Double clicking the row will invoke the encoder profile editor.

Watch a log file

Right click on the log file that you want to watch.
Select "Log Watcher" in the drop down that appears.

Overview of the log manager

The Log Manager is used to access any log that exist on the system.
All Logs are group according to their type of log.
This view shows:

1. Log file name
2. When it was last written to
3. And the logs file size

If you click the Refresh button you can refresh the logs

Creating a new project

Once you have click on the “New Project” button a pop up like this will appear.

1. Type the name of your project.
2. Add your comments
3. If required you can add Date time constraints, Permissions and rights – This is not a requirment
4. Click Save

You can now begin adding content to you project.

 

 

Adding Image

Putting a logo into the ticker text

Click on the “Add Image” button.

This pop up window will appear.
Type in the name of the image you want into the text box
and then click “Find” button.

To do a search on all the images, leave the text box blank
and select the “Find” button

Click on the image you would like to add and press the Append button.

Now you will see that the image has been included in the ticker editing area.

To move the image around click on it, then select the up or down arrows.

1. Speed: The speed at which the ticker text will run across the screen.
2. Update Frequency: How often the ticker text will update

Background options

To change the background colour click on the colour box in the background drop down.

Here you have the option to select the colour from the 1.colour picker,
or you can paste in the 2. Hex value
or put in the 3.RGB values.

Pick whether you would like it to be a 4.solid or a 5.gradient.
If a gradient you can change the gradient here 6.

once you are happy with the colour, click the x button on the top right

Here you can change the Text
1.font,
2.bold,
3.Italic

and the Style
4.Opacity
5. Text colour and shadow colour
6. shadow angle

New Ticker

Creating a ticker

To start your new ticker click the “create new ticker” button

Type in the name of your ticker into the Title text box

Select the add text button

Double click on the text that comes up, you can do this in both areas.
