Network Attributes on playlist

The media files / content in the playlist that is meant to play only on certain players that are in Network Structure, it must be logged in differently from the rest of the other media files in the playlist.
The attributes on the media files must match the player attributes in the Network in order to work properly.
See below an overview picture for logging a video .

Video logging

When logging a video to play on all players, you only need to fill in the spaces in the red block.
If you have players in different provinces and you want the video to play only on Gauteng players – you must fill in Gauteng in the Province space.
This also applies to Region/ town e.t.c; put in the town name in the space provided.

NB: Once you have finished logging your media files and have scheduled them in playlist…you must set the playlist container to strict match on attributes.

Checking Player Attributes

When the players have been attached to the branches, we need to make sure that the player has got all the attributes of the Network.
This is important especially when you have players assigned to play different media files but using the same playlist, i.e some advert in that playlist can only be played by certain players even if there is only one playlist.

There are two ways to check player attributes.
1. Directly from the branch
2. On Screen Works – Player Dashboard

Double Click on the player and the box below will appear.
NB: If the box below doesn not appear but instead you see all players on dashboard, it means that player is offline.

Attaching Players to the Network Structure

Once you are done building the Network Structure, the next thing to do is to attach the players.
Players can only be attached at a branch level.
You can have many branch names as you like and as many players attached to different branches.
